What is GLA:D™
GLA:D™ is an 8-week education and exercise program.
Who is GLA:D™ For
GLA:D™ is for those with stiff and/or painful knees and/or hips, or those with knee and/or hip osteoarthritis.
Why Participate?
Research from GLA:D® in Denmark show participants report less pain, being more physically active, reduced use of painkillers and fewer individuals on sick leave.

Your Initial Assessment
During your first visit a certified Physiotherapist and/or Kinesiologist will:

2 Education Sessions
The 90-minute education sessions will teach GLA:D™ Canada participants about:
12 Neuromuscular Exercise Sessions
The 12 60-minute individualized group exercise sessions are run twice a week for 6 weeks. They are led by a certified therapist where you will:
During your last exercise session the two Physical Tests will be re-tested and these results are provided to you.
Billing & Payment
The total cost of the GLA:D™ Canada program is $395. This includes program hand-out, 12 exercise sessions, 2 education sessions and the pre and post assessments.
In order to reserve your spot in the program the full amount of $395 is required up front.
Billing to your Extended Health Benefits
Because these sessions are individualized group exercise therapy sessions run by a GLA:D™ Canada certified therapist, we are able to bill this program to your extended health benefit plan.
In order to reserve your spot in the program the full amount of $395 is still required up front. As you attend each session we can bill to your extended health benefit plan and you will be reimbursed the amount your plan covers.
