This class is for anyone wishing to learn how well aligned and mindfully
practiced yoga poses can help rehabilitate and/or prevent injuries and help
people manage various conditions, including chronic pain. Meditation, breathing
exercises, stress management, yoga philosophy and yogic lifestyle teachings
will be included in the class. An emphasis will be placed on pelvic stability,
functional movement patterns and education on appropriate muscle activation
and progressions. This class is suitable for those starting a yoga practice,
those wanting to return after an injury or illness or those who simply wish to learn
therapeutic techniques they can apply to their current practice at the studio
or at home.
